Calling all aspiring and budding artists – for charity
They say that there is an artist in all of us. Now here’s the chance to find out – and raise money for charity at the same time.
This is the fourth of our fantastically successful 12-inch canvas events to be held at Gravelly Barn. Our last one,
two years ago, raised over £12,500 and we want to top that this year.
What you have to do
Buy a 12-inch canvas (£10 fee covers cost of the canvas, hanging and private
view evening) and produce your own work of art. You can use paint, watercolour,
pencil, charcoal, collage, sculpture – in fact any medium you wish, as long as we are
able to hang the canvas normally. You can be as creative as you want.
Entrants will receive an invitation to the Private View and be the first to be able to buy a picture.
Closing date for submissions
What happens to your painting
Every piece of work will be put on show anonymously during the four-day art
exhibition and will be available for sale at £45 each. All proceeds from the sales will
go to the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance and the Norma Adams Crocus
Tribute Fund at Breakthrough Breast Cancer
Exhibition opening times
Friday May 2 – Sunday May 4 (10.30am – 5pm)
Monday May 5 (10.30am – 4pm)
Private view (by invite only): Thursday May 1 from 6pm-9pm
If you want to buy a canvas, e-mail me and I will arrange for delivery or how to drop them off.
Please pass this on to family, friends or anyone you think might be interested in entering
